Yes, I offer virtual appointments!
Counseling or coaching sessions are a convenient alternative to in-office Session, with all the same benefits. For some, e-counselling or coaching can be more beneficial than meeting in an office environment. It is also just as private and confidential.
If you're feeling like you're struggling to keep your head above water, let me remind you that you don't have to paddle alone. I offer online counseling and coaching sessions that are just as effective as my in-person sessions. You will still leave every session with useful tools and insights, without having to deal with the commute.
Some studies are showing that online therapy can be more effective than in-person therapy, since many clients are meeting their therapists from their own home, in comfy clothes, and in a safe and familiar environment. This is not to say that in-person therapy is ineffective, rather it’s considering that online therapy is as equally safe and effective.
I work from Monday to Sunday. Because of the high demand for services, we would touch bases on my current availability and if that works for your schedule during our first meeting.
Some things to remember before starting therapy online:
-
Ensure you have a reliable internet connection.
-
Test the audio video before each session.
-
Find a good location that is totally private so you can fully immerse yourself into the timyou've carved out for yourself.
How often should I see you?
Through consistency and dedication to the work, I meet with clients on a weekly or biweekly basis, though due to scheduling needs and other factors, this may vary.

The call is for you to tell me about your situation and ask me questions about how I work and what methods I would use to help you. It also gives you a sense of my personality and what it’s like talking to me. By the end of 15 minutes, you should have a good idea of whether or not you want to work with me. The call also gives me information on how I can best meet your needs.
How do I schedule my appointments?
E-mail me at info.jenniferschwientek@gmail.com or call me at +1 604 787 3414.
I will make every effort to get back to you within 24 hours, and usually before that.
Do you guarantee privacy?
Therapy is completely confidential. All customer information is fully protected. I guarantee the non-disclosure of personal data of patients, so no one will know about your visits.
How will I know if you are the right therapist / counselor or coach for me?
This is a very important question. You are dedicating time and resources and want to be sure you are picking the right person. You should consider logistical factors (office location, availability) as well as personal factors (my training and expertise and personality.
An initial phone conversation should be able answer some of these questions.
I suggest that you think about the questions that will inform your decision. Sometimes you must be in room with someone before you truly have a feel for the person. The first couple of face-to-face sessions can continue to inform your decision and we can talk about any ongoing reservations or concerns you might have.
Cancellation policy
I require 48 hours notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. I am committed to providing each of my clients with exceptional care. When a client cancels without giving enough notice, it prevents another client from being seen. For this reason, if sufficient notification is not received, you will be charged for the full amount of your session.
Can anyone become a client?
I welcome people of all ethnic backgrounds, cultures, gender identities, shapes, sexual orientations, ages, beliefs/ religions, and neuro-diverse clients.
Code of Conduct
Code of Conduct and Client Service Agreement is to be signed during the consultation and before the beginning of the session.
Can you really help me?
Can you really help me?I truly believe therapy and coaching is helpful for everyone. Our modern world does not allow the time to slow down and process our feelings, thoughts, and how we’re operating in the world. If everyone engaged in therapy or coaching, I think the world would be a more intentional and kinder place! But is it helpful for you? YES! If you’re looking at this site, that means you’ve got a need, and the ways you’ve traditionally attempted to cope are no longer working. Empower yourself to take the first step–it may be scary, but it’ll be worth it.
What if my problems aren’t that big?
Some clients who have experienced relational trauma may feel hesitant to start therapy because they believe their problems are not significant enough to seek professional help. They may feel that their issues are silly or that others have it worse than them. Let me stop you right there. This mindset may be rooted in a deep-seated belief that their needs are not important, and exploring their feelings and behaviors is selfish. This could have developed from past experiences where they were taught to prioritize the needs of others or to downplay their own needs.
As a counsellor, I understand this perspective, but I also recognize that everyone's struggles are valid and worthy of attention. I will work with you to challenge these beliefs and help you rewrite them to reflect your own values and priorities.
What can I accept in a session with you?
Establishing and nurturing a strong therapeutic alliance with you is of paramount importance to me. It is essential that you feel secure and comfortable with me as you share your story during our sessions. As we engage in conversation, I may gently prompt you to become aware of any anxiety or other distressing emotions you may be experiencing and how they are affecting your body. This can serve as an opportunity for us to explore any reactions or emotions that arise and make sense of them together. I am attuned to your energy and will pay close attention to both your verbal and nonverbal cues throughout our sessions. This process is collaborative, and I am committed to working with you to address whatever arises. I will always respect your boundaries and ensure that your consent to delve deeper is established.
